The first challenge went exceptionally well, and was documented by

- fell off but didn't rip Rapha softshell. the Gods were with me.
- icy snow crunched by chain on sprocket = 'orrible noise. at least it was sunny and the snow sparkled! still good to be on the bike
- 8 hours in tipping-it-down rain on yucky roads. but still the Rapha rain jacket kept me dry!
- @twmp what a perfect way of expressing 'pain'! I will definitely use that one. what's the book b?
- 4 hours on turbo is a long time. still better than not riding though. Tests mind as much as legs. How do u guys manage?
- snow melted. tomorrow i hit the tarmac...well,only my wheels, hopefully.

- still a wall of snow outside here, so another 3 hour session on the turbo. boy will it be good to get cold again outside!
